Applies a stacking damage-over-time burn whenever you deal ability damage. Best on sustained casters — Brand, Malzahar, Cassiopeia, Ryze, Hwei. Previously removed in Patch 25.01 during the keystone overhaul. Ryze's early power spiked noticeably enough that he received a separate nerf this patch.
Dealing 15% of an enemy champion's max HP in 1.5 seconds grants a burst of movement speed and slow resistance for 3 seconds. Best on burst champions — assassins, divers, aggressive bruisers. Previously removed in Patch 24.22. Opens new aggressive playstyles for Jax, Irelia, and Katarina.
Early game defensive output reduced so trades can stick against enchanter duos in lane. Late game shielding unchanged — Lulu, Karma, Soraka are not significantly impacted at full build.
Shield ratios adjusted to help tankier users — Braum, Taric — survive the laning phase against aggressive lane bullies. The reduced early cooldown means more Guardian activations in the first 10 minutes of the game.
Normal Draft queues expanded from windowed availability to 24/7 in Middle East, Oceania, and Singapore regions. This follows meaningful queue time improvements across these regions since late 2025.
Duo queuing remains restricted for Apex-tier players in regions where it was disabled at Season 2 start. Riot is actively monitoring high-tier match quality before re-enabling. Update expected in Patch 26.13 or 26.14.
Your current Honor level, active restrictions, and redemption steps are now visible directly in your social panel. Makes tracking Honor progress and understanding behavior impact much easier without navigating menus.
Teleport Shield health value adjusted to better align with early-game trading patterns. This is a tuning change, not a fundamental rework of the mechanic. The change primarily affects how much protection laner recall timing provides.
Players in BR and OCE can pay 1350 RP to unlock most Epic-tier and below skins for 30 days, usable in ARAM and ARAM: Mayhem. Regional test only — may expand to additional regions based on results.
The low-use "My Leagues" section has been removed from the Ranked area of the client to simplify navigation. All information previously shown there is still accessible through the main Ranked hub.
Changes to Experimental Hexplate specifically target Varus's dominance in top lane with lethality builds. His primary on-hit ADC role in bot lane is less affected. Combined with the direct W on-hit nerf, this is designed to reduce his flex presence without gutting his bot lane identity.
Patch 26.13 is the final patch before MSI 2026 starts in South Korea on June 28. Expect additional pro-meta tuning around the champions dominating competitive play. Riot has signaled a return to normal balance cadence after MSI. Champions to watch: Orianna (still high priority despite nerfs), Ahri, Vi, and new Deathfire Touch builds on mages.
The Mid-Season Invitational is the first major international tournament of Season 2. Competing regions include LCK, LPL, LEC, LCS, and wildcard regions. The meta will tighten significantly around the most reliable competitive champions as teams lock in their pocket picks for the international stage.
